A through-line collaboration between Chris Saunders and Chloe Andrea Welgemoed, from conception to delivery — a video series, a hand-printed photo series, and the full universe Ndingubani lives in, conceived over several months with Bongeziwe Mabandla.

Fragmented memories are remembered and reimagined as Bongeziwe moves through space and time: from the rolling hills of the Eastern Cape, through the spaces that shaped his formative years, and onward into the wider world as a performer navigating its realities.

Each song becomes a piece of memory; each image, a trace of becoming — together forming a portrait of the modern Black man, strong and self-actualising, holding heritage and hope in the same hand.

Memory is the thread; nostalgia, the light. Each song is tied to a place, a memory, a character built from it — unfolding as one scene per song, a look and gesture that echo the emotion within.
